National Philanthropy Day® is a special day celebrated around the 15th of November each year to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy—and those people active in the philanthropic community—have made to our lives, our communities and our world.  


NPD 2022 will take place at the Hyatt Regency Wichita on November 15th, 2022.

Mark your calendars now to join for this day of recognizing philanthropy in and beyond Wichita from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. In addition to our award luncheon, we will once again host educational sessions for development professionals. Chad Barger, CFRE, (pictured above) owner of Productive Fundraising, will be our speaker this year for a morning and afternoon session. Learn more about him here



This award is presented to an individual or group under the age(s) of 18 who demonstrates outstanding commitment to the community through exceptional generosity, development of charitable programs, volunteering and leadership in philanthropy and be an inspiration for others to take part in philanthropic activities around the community. The honoree will receive $500 to support their nonprofit.



This award is presented to an individual with five or less years of experience in philanthropy, who has shown exemplary dedication and leadership in the non profit community and has been an inspiration to others for greater commitment and involvement.


This award is presented to a corporation that demonstrates outstanding commitment through financial support, executive/employee involvement, and the encouragement and motivation of others to take leadership roles toward philanthropy and community involvement.


This award is presented to a private foundation (company or family) that has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the community through financial support. The recipient of this award encourages and motivates others to take leadership roles toward philanthropy with national, international and/or community involvement.


This award is presented to an outstanding individual fundraising executive in a nonprofit organization who practices his/her profession in an exemplary manner. The recipient must have professional fundraising experience and the organization they represent must affirm and promote ethical principles/standards of fundraising.


This award is presented to the individual who demonstrates exceptional leadership skills in coordinating groups of volunteers for major fundraising projects and exemplifies the spirit of Philanthropy through example of generous contributions of service (including board service), time, and leadership. The nominee for this award inspires others to greater commitment to and involvement in philanthropy.


This award is presented to an individual who demonstrates outstanding civic responsibility and positively impacts the community through exceptional generosity. The nominee should be an inspiration for others to take philanthropic leadership roles and have a proven record of financial support in the community.
